A journey driven by passion, purpose and the people we support
Jason Kenny is our Service Manager at Hall O’Shaw, one of our specialist supported living homes in Cheshire. He first joined us in 2021 as a Support Worker, with no previous experience of working in care. But what he did have was a sincere passion for making a difference to the lives of others.
Since joining us, Jason’s continuously built on that passion. Establishing a thriving career, he’s earned qualifications that recognise how his skills and knowledge have developed too. Alongside his drive for helping others, additional training has been important to Jason’s journey. Completing his Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care supported him on his path to his current role.
Devoted to his role as a Service Manager, Jason’s always strived for more – both for his professional progression and the people we support. With lots of unique learning and training opportunities available to him, he’s now completing his Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care. With our support, he’s living out his passion for supporting others and is also growing professionally.
And climbing the career ladder has helped him to widen the reach of his passion. Now, he leads an inspirational team of like-minded colleagues. Together, they continue to grow in their roles and deliver person-centred care that truly changes the lives of the people we support.
Passion for people we support
Navigating his journey from Support Worker to Registered Manager, Jason’s worked with lots of incredible people throughout his career. From inspirational colleagues to the amazing people we support, each person has played an important part in shaping who he is professionally and personally.
At Hall O’Shaw, Jason now works with eight amazing people we support, and it’s their individual journeys and characters that motivate him to strive for excellence every day.
Each person we support has a unique story and journey, but there’s one particular individual who really changed Jason’s perspective on life – and how he approaches his career.
Witnessing first-hand the power of person-centred support truly motivates Jason. Supporting people to build confidence, believe in themselves, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach is what drives him to achieve more every day. And seeing the people we support succeed has helped understand what his true purpose is.
Jason’s commitment shows how person-centred support becomes truly powerful when underpinned by the right training and development opportunities. Starting with no previous experience, Jason has built his skills through structured learning, enabling him to deliver compassionate, personalised care.
Through completing his Level 3 qualification in Adult Care and progressing towards his Level 5, Jason developed specialist skills needed to support people to achieve such incredible outcomes. His journey highlights how investing in training and career progression doesn’t just shape careers – it transforms lives.
Challenges lead to progress
Before becoming our Service Manager at Hall O’Shaw, Jason worked his way through each service-based role. From joining us as Support Worker, to becoming a Senior Support Worker, he loved trying new things and rising to challenges – fuelling his passion to progress.

So, when an opportunity opened for a Service Manager in Stafford for a year, Jason was immediately considered! Jason excitedly accepted this, seeing it as an opportunity for him to gain some incredible experience and grow his career in the future.
An amazing year both with happy memories and tough challenges, Jason showed admirable resilience and adaptability – nurtured by his passion, purpose, and the support he’d received since joining us. During this year, he also managed a second service – a big challenge that was met with drive and genuine care for the people we support.
