Step 5: Pre-employment checks
The recruitment administrator will conduct pre-employment checks, which are
- Obtain personal information to build your application form (via telephone).
- Apply for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This is something we pay for.
- Apply for references
- Verify your right to work documentation, for example:
- Your passport
- Visa work permit
- If you apply for a nurse position, we will obtain and verify your Nurse PIN on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

If you’ve applied for a role with our children’s complex care team, you will also need to have bloods taken. This is something we pay for.
