Three years ago, Erin joined us as a young apprentice. She brought with her a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn. She was keen to kickstart her career in a supportive environment, where learning was valued and real-world experience was a possibility. Joining us in our Learning and Development department, Erin embarked upon her Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship and made her ambitions a reality!
Where experience meets education
Erin’s apprenticeship was the perfect opportunity for her to develop essential workplace skills and gain practical experience in a full-time role. Through our industry-leading apprenticeships program, she gained enhanced experience, practical job training, and nationally recognised qualifications. Delivered by trusted, accredited apprenticeship partners, Erin’s apprenticeship marked the start of an exciting pathway to professional growth through knowledge and experience.
From communication to organisation and understanding business processes, everything Erin learnt in the classroom was put into practice in her day job. Together, this gave her everything she needed to thrive in her role. As she progressed along her apprenticeship, Erin became more organised and efficient. In her role, she took on more responsibilities, continuously built her confidence, and really became part of the team.
Turning challenges into growth
Like any training experience, Erin’s apprenticeship journey had challenges. For Erin, who was new to the demands of a full-time role, learning how to balance coursework with daily responsibilities was challenging. Managing deadlines, understanding new systems, and building confidence in her skills was tough. But these challenges became key moments of her growth. She discovered her own resilience and developed important everyday life skills. For Erin, difficult moments pushed her to keep achieving more and resulted in big successes on her journey!
As a young apprentice, having the right support was essential. Erin was surrounded by an encouraging team and a supportive tutor. Everyone believed in her potential. Knowing she wasn’t alone, Erin wasn’t afraid to ask for help. Having the motivational support from her team gave her the confidence to succeed along her apprenticeship pathway.
With her team’s support and a dedicated learning and training pathway, Erin continued growing professionally and personally. After completing her apprenticeship, she continued in a full-time position with us. She’s now our Learning & Development Administrator and a valued member of our team!
