Role Overview:


As a Community Support Worker across York, you will be supporting individuals with Autism, Acquired Brain Injuries and varying degrees of learning disabilities as well as mental health issues. 

Your role will be to promote independence and support others to lead as fulfilling a life as possible: activities may include:

  • Vocational / Social Opportunities
  • Implementing a daily structure
  • Activities involved in daily living
  • Finances and Tenancy support
  • Independence and re-enablement
  • Supporting quality of life and potential

Requirements:

Although no experience is necessary as all our staff receive training tailored to the needs of the people they support, we are keen to attract experienced staff who can "hit the ground running" and want to progress their career development. 

  • Experience / understanding of working with vulnerable people is desired
  • Fully flexible approach to shift work - which can include days and sleep-ins “Sleep Ins can earn up to £75 dependant on age & length of shift”
