Location: Wrexham, Clwyd

Pay Rate (£): £8.00 p hr

Vacancy Reference: 014930

Are you the type of person whose personality and empathy can make a real difference to someone needing support?

We are recruiting energetic, passionate and sympathetic Male Support Workers
to join our teams in the Wrexham area, where we are supporting people with complex health needs as well as physical & learning disabilities and have Full, Part and Bank contacts available.

If you are the kind of person who thrives on making others feel valued? Are a positive, honest and compassionate person who is good at understanding and communicating with other people - we would love to hear from you.

We understand that, sometimes support work can be challenging: although the rewards of supporting people to achieve their individual goals and make every day meaningful provides great job satisfaction.

The people we support attend College, work placements, discos and a number of social clubs during the week such as crafts groups, gardening groups and volunteering in the charity shops. As a support worker you will also support people to maintain the tenancy on their home.

We have an annual BBQ were everyone who is supported and their family and friends get together, jovial staff awards and plenty of food and drink. As you can see we like to socialise and there’s even an annual Christmas party for the people we support and staff.

The individuals we support enjoy a lot of community access, so confidence in lone working is essential.  We are therefore looking for Support Workers with previous experience who can hit the ground running. However we will still provide a full training programme that is specific to the needs of the individuals we support.

You’ll join the team working on a rota that includes early, late, weekend, night and Bank Holiday shifts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a motivated and determined team. So make a great career move.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS/PVG check and Regulated Activity which will include a check against the Barred adult list.
