Role Overview:-

Voyage Care are currently recruiting Outreach Support Workers to work in the community across Guildford, Surrey . As an Outreach Support Worker you would be supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities to do a range of different tasks and activities. This could include going swimming, to the cinema, shopping, baking, attending discos, going for meals, supporting with personal care, finances and attending health appointments. This is a really exciting opportunity that offers full or part time hours with flexible shift patterns during mornings, afternoons and evenings and we will try to work around your current commitments.

Requirements:-

Your duties will also include:

  • Helping the people we support to learn new skills.
  • Assisting with day to day living tasks.
  • Ensuring the people we support are encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Supporting our clients to live as independently as possible.
  • Providing personal care.
  • Moving and handling needs
  • Support with medication and complex clinical needs.
  • Companionship.
  • Support to access activities and socialise with others.

Requirements:

Essential

  • Flexibility. This is a shift based role that can include working on weekends and bank holidays so flexibility is essential.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help people
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • The ability to work to robust, clear guide lines

Desirable

  • Prior experience in health and social care is desirable but not essential. We can and will provide full training
  • A driver with their own vehicle would be highly advantageous
