Role Overview:

We are recruiting for our services in Great Wryley and the Chadsmoor area of Cannock.

The "People we Support" require help with everyday living tasks and to access local activities that promote their health and wellbeing; whilst also encouraging them to use decision-making and independence skills that promotes their individual wishes and aspirations to be reached, and we are keen to attract Support Workers with experience of youth work or have a natural ability in relating to and interacting with young adolescents.

This role involves supporting individuals who experience Learning Difficulties and / or Autism and at times may display "Challenging Behavior's" therefore, all of our staff receive training tailored to the needs of the people they support. 

We delight in their achievements, we defend their decisions, we respect their dignity...but mostly we adore their friendship.

We are keen to attract experienced staff who can "hit the ground running" and want to progress their career development. 

  • A full driving licence is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • NVQ level 2 / 3 in Health & Social Care or Care Cert - or willing to work towards.
  • Confidence in lone working with vulnerable people in the community.
  • Ability to support the independence and re-enablement of the people we support.
  • Ability to promote and support the quality of live and potential of the people we support
  • Flexibility - to work shift patterns, weekends and school holidays.

**Should your employment with Voyage Care terminate for any reason within the first 3 months of your employment start date, the full cost of the DBS will be repayable back to us. Deducted from your final salary
