Where: Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

When: Days, Weekends and Sleep-in support required.

Pay: £8.10 per hour: (Plus competitive Sleep-in rates) 

Role Overview:

Supporting a young female with an Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health difficulties with daily tasks within the home, including:

  • Decision making
  • Help with Shopping
  • Accessing community based activities and Volunteering Opportunities
  • Maintaining contact with friends and family

Voyage Care are looking for "Great Support Workers" with a passion for what they do as well as sharing simular interests in Arts & Crafts: Jewellery - Making, Jigsaws, Painting and Drawing and Drama.

Requirements:

  • Support Workers in the Ashton area of Wigan.
  • Although experience is not necessary as all of our staff receive training tailored to the needs of the people they support: we are keen to attract experienced staff who can "hit the ground running" and want to progress their career development. 
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 In Health & Social Care, Care Certificate or a commitmnt to work towards.
  • Full Driving Licience - Desired
  • Experience / knowledge of working with individuals with an Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Confidence in working with vulnerable adults on a 1:1 basis - particularly when in the community.

**Should your employment with Voyage Care terminate for any reason within the first 3 months of your employment start date, the full cost of the DBS will be repayable back to us. Deducted from your final salary.

 

You’ll join the team working on a rota that includes early, late, weekend, night and Bank Holiday shifts.
