Job Title:- Community Support Worker 

Location:- Normanton

Role Overview:- 

As a support worker at Voyage Care, you support individuals aged 18-65, on a 2:1 basis in the community. All of the individuals we support have varying degrees of Learning Disabilities, Autism, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injuries (this varies depending on which service you would work for). You’ll help the individuals to lead as fulfilling a life as possible, assisting them to make informed choices and maintain as much independence as possible.

We are currently recruiting a small team to support an individual in their own home in Normanton and out in the community from 8:15-16:15. You will work opposite another team member working alternate weekends on either a full or part time basis.

You will be supporting the individual in their own home and within the community, assisting them to lead an independent and fulfilling life. A big part of your role will be supporting people to do their favourite things and try new activities. We ensure they reach their full potential – and of course we’ll make sure that you reach yours.

For this position, being a car driver and having previous experience is required due to the needs of the people we support.

The individuals we support at this service enjoy a lot of community access, so confidence in lone working is essential.  We are therefore looking for Support Workers with previous experience who can hit the ground running. However we will still provide a full training programme that is specific to the needs of the individuals we support.
