Support Worker

Location: Tonbridge

Role Overview:- As a Support Worker at The Hadlows, you will work with people like me who live with a brain injury. I want to live as normal a life as possible and your role is to enable me to do this. Some of the guys here may need more support to do this – I am currently working for 3 days a week.

Requirements:-

Your duties will also include:

  • Helping the people we support to learn and maintain new skills. People with a brain injury often need support with memory, planning and organising.
  • Assisting with day to day living tasks – like keeping my room clean and tidy.
  • Staff encourage us to reach our full potential.
  • We are encouraged to live as independently as possible.
  • Some of us need help with washing and cleaning.
  • You may need to support us to get around.
  • We may need support with medication and going to appointments.
  • We love to sit and chat – or have a quiz or bake a cake.
  • Most of us like to go out – to the pub or shopping or to visit friends and family or even on a holiday.
