About the Role:

This role is to support up to 4 individuals at our supported living service in Ovenden. Here, you will support adults with learning disabilities and behavioural needs with all aspects of every day living.

As a superhero “Support Worker” you will deliver the highest quality support with all aspects of everyday living to encourage their independence and support them to lead the most fulfilling life possible, incorporating both therapy and social based activities.

Whilst no two days are the same typically, you’ll help the people we support with everyday challenges such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments, maintaining relationships and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningful to the people we support.

Due to the needs of the individual you will be supporting previous experience with learning disabilities is preferred, although not essential.

We have a full-time days position which includes sleep in shifts. You will work between the hours of 8am and 8pm inclusive of bank holidays and weekend working.

The individuals we support enjoy a lot of community access, so confidence in lone working is essential.  We are therefore looking for Support Workers with previous experience who can hit the ground running. However we will still provide a full training programme that is specific to the needs of the individuals we support.

You’ll join the team working on a rota that includes early, late, weekend, night and Bank Holiday shifts.
