The Service Optimisation Manager will manage and drive the continuous improvement of the quality of services across the Region/Country and deliver the company strategy.

The role will provide expertise and resource to support the Operations teams and oversee the management of risk in relation to service optimisation.

Purpose of Role

  • To maintain Voyage Care at the forefront of quality care provision for people we support, promoting Voyage Cares’ values and standards internally and externally.
  • Keep up to date with changes in external requirements, ensuring information is appropriately cascaded.
  • Represent the organisation at a local and national level as required.
  • Maintain a commitment to own continuing professional development and also to actively engage in own appraisal.
  • To present a professional persona at all time and demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills and competencies.
  • To communicate with and establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Director of Service Optimisation.
  • To take part, where applicable, in surveys to gather information required to inform the future strategic direction of the Service Optimisation Team.

Service Optimisation

  • Responsible for carrying out reviews, developing and ensuring the implementation of recommendations and action plans for services to implement service optimisation.
  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant personnel have correct information to promote and support service optimisation which aligns with the services strategy, business plans, and internal/external quality frameworks.


  • Duty and Key responsibilities

    • Implement and prepare mobilisation for tenders and integration of acquisitions.
    • Share incidents and internal service turn around.
    • Accountable for implementation of skills delivery of individuals and objectives where agreed at assessment.
    • Provide and establish operation of relevant internal and external working groups and provide and advice, expertise and support where requested.
    • Provide relevant and timely advice and guidance on individual projects.
    • Offer on call support as and when required
    • Work a variety of hours according to the need of the role
    • Monitor relationships and outcomes and provide reports as requested.
    • Ensure that skills and learning from services optimisation work is transferred to the whole organisation.
    • Use standard tools and processes to support planned delivery and assessments for large scale programmes for service optimisation.
    • Advise creditability of escalations associated with individual projects.
    • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of the organisation governance assessments for optimisation of project activities.
    • Act as champion with the ability to support and ensure everyone is at the heart of the optimisation work.
    • Work in partnership with others and the directorate to deliver successful outcomes.
    • Contribute to service optimisation to lead and identify areas as agreed.
    • Provide co-ordination and perspective of working groups and provide advice and support where requested.
    • Contribute to planning of team projects.
    • To contribute experience and specialist knowledge to support complex business optimisation costs.
    • Working for the Director of Service Optimisation to ensure that the services optimisation processes are regularly measured.
    • Develop and implement and monitor effective optimisation plans.
    • Take lead role in facilitating and employing knowledge and skills associated with individual optimisation processes.
    • Work across directorates to facilitate effective integration of tender wins and acquisitions.
    • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Director of Service Optimisation from time to time.
    • To attend formal supervision (1:1) and appraisal sessions as agreed with the Director of Service Optimisation. To take personal responsibility for meeting Continuous Professional Development (CPD) objectives.

    • Hold a full driving license.
