About the role:

We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead the team at our 10 bed residential service, Park View Road located in Heaton. This registration also includes a single occupancy bungalow for one individual with specialist behavioural support needs, located in Low Moor which you will also have overall responsibility for.
The people we support have a variety of different needs including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. You will lead a team of 40 staff members inclusive of support workers, team leaders and a field support supervisor to ensure the highest quality care and support is being delivered to the people we support.

You will be a role model and lead the team to deliver intensive and person-centred support in all aspects of everyday life. This underpins our aim to support people to achieve their goals in life as we actively seek out opportunities for everyone to develop their skills and confidence through goal setting, meaningful activity and other initiatives.

You must demonstrate and promote resilience, flexibility and composure in your approach as this will be a challenging environment to work in, although equally rewarding. You will understand the importance of reflective practice and positive behaviour support as you lead debriefs and analyse incident data to ensure the best possible outcomes for the individuals.

You will develop the staff team enabling the individuals we support to reach their full potential. Reporting to the Operations Manager, and working as part of a wider team of Home Managers, you will seek to ensure the highest standards of support are delivered in the service.

 

Financially astute and exceptionally organised, you will join us with a Registered Managers Award plus your Level 5 Diploma, or equivalent qualification, or be eligible to complete the Level 5 Diploma. You will certainly be experienced in care management and will possess excellent knowledge of Care Standards, Regulations and Valuing People. Above all, you should be as approachable, as reliable and as dedicated as we are, and you’ll be poised to hit the ground ‘sprinting’.
