Paediatric Support Worker

Voyage Specialist Healthcare – Darlington

About this Job –

We are currently recruiting for a Paediatric Support Worker to support a young boy who has Cerebral Palsy. The young boy requires oxygen via a face mask 24 hours a day, he also has a nasopharyngeal airway to help keep his airway open.

This role is either full or part time for someone who can work a mixture of days, nights and weekends with the following shift patterns available:

  • 07.30-19.30, 7 days a week
  • 19.30 – 07.30, 7 nights a week

 

The person we support has the following clinical interventions:

  • Oxygen and monitoring of Oxygen levels
  • Nasopharyngeal Suction
  • Oral Suction
  • Gastrostomy Care
  • Nebuliser Therapy
  • Medications
  • Chest Physiotherapy
  • Passive Limb Movements
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Assisting (hoisting)

 

Previous experience is advantageous but not essential as you will receive training tailored to this person’s specific needs.
