Full Time, 37.5 hrs per week (Fixed Term 8 months)

Salary negotiable dependent on experience + Employee Benefits including 23 days annual leave (pro rata) Plus Bank Holidays.

Main Purpose
To provide a high quality, proactive and effective Employee Relations Advisory and Case Management
Service to managers and employees, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to Company policies and
procedures, thus promoting a positive ER culture across the organisation, whilst minimising risks.

Core Duties
1. To advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to employee relations at the earliest opportunity, providing specialist employee relations advice in the management of
both informal and formal processes and attend meetings/hearing as and when required
2. Effective and timely project management of multiple ER cases such as: disciplinaries,
performance management, grievance, flexible working, whistleblowing and attendance and
absence management across multiple sites in accordance with best practice/HR process
3. To advise and support the investigation of sensitive and complex situations and ensure
Investigating Managers are fully briefed on process and best practice, assisting them with the
investigation where necessary and ensuring regular updates are held to review progress
4. Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation
5. Actively promote a 'right first time' approach by following HR policies and processes and
employment legislation, thereby reducing the risk of litigation.
6. Offer balanced advice that manages risk but drives results, which are both fair and in line with company values as well as commercially appropriate.
7. Coaching line managers, developing expertise specifically in managing disciplinary, absence
management, grievance, capability and performance related issues, through to appeal
8. Where appropriate lead on investigations, hearings, settlement discussions or provide
mediation services to drive case resolution
9. Escalate high risk cases at appropriate trigger points to the Senior HR Advisor, and link with
the Head of HR and legal team internally and externally to review complex cases and limit risk
10. Support and coach Junior HR Advisors to facilitate knowledge and experience growth
11. Maintain and update all case notes on the case management system on a continuous basis.
12. Monitor, analyse and report on absence and other ER issues.
13. Ensure all employee documentation is stored and allocated to the employee file.
14. Complete all associated activities regarding case management, including the logging of cases on the case management system, the drafting/reviewing of investigation reports, invite and outcome letters and other supporting documents in a timely manner ensuring procedural
fairness throughout all processes.
15. Remain up to date on relevant employment legislation to understand implications to processes.
16. Assist in the development, implementation and delivery of HR policies, procedures and
projects as and when required.
17. Promote continuous improvement by challenging the 'status quo', seeking and recommending improved ways of working.
18. To attend meetings, briefings and ad-hoc working groups as appropriate, and contribute to the development of the HR function.
19. Delivery of relevant ER training to the organisation as and when required.
