This is a fixed term, 6 month position and is home based.

 

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to;

 

  • Manage bids/ tenders in a busy tendering team, working on public sector tenders in the health and social care sector.
  • Contribute towards the achievement of the business goals through winning bids and tenders.

 To apply for the role you should have experience in bid management, preferably in the social care sector, be comfortable at building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be proficient at managing multiple deadlines.

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. Bid Managers are involved in every aspect of tender submissions, leading on development of compliant and compelling tenders
  2. Responsible for the production of high quality tender submissions.
  3. Translate the sales strategy and service propositions into the tender submission in order to maximise competitive positioning
  4. Obtain information and write required to deliver compliant, responsive, clear and persuasive submissions
  5. Contribute to Tender Team reporting and maintenance of comprehensive information library
  6. To support the Tender Team Manager in meeting team targets and objectives
  7. Liaise with, and support, internal departments to ensure team knowledge is up to date and accurate information is supplied in all responses
  8. Work within agreed management and review processes to ensure complete and high quality submissions delivered

 

The individual undertaking this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes;

 

  1. Degree level academic qualification
  2. Excellent written skills
  3. Knowledge of public procurement in relation to health and social care
  4. High level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  5. Strong project management, planning and time management skills
  6. Committed to achieving deadlines and deliverables
  7. Passion for supporting people and strong customer focus
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong organisational abilities
  9. Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
  10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritises accordingly 
  11. Methodical, with exceptional attention to detail
  12. Availability to sometimes work outside of normal business hours in order to meet deadlines
  13. Able and willing to travel to attend internal and external meeting and events. This will include fortnightly attendance at our head office in Lichfield
  14. Committed to taking responsibility for own learning to keep up-to-date with best practice in the sector
