Focused Healthcare specialises in the philosophy of holistic personalised care packages in Children’s Complex Healthcare and consists of a team of Registered Clinical Nurse Managers, Clinical Educators, Paediatric Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.

We are currently seeking dedicated, caring and highly motivated Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about supporting children and young adults with complex health needs in their own homes and educational settings across the London area providing commitment to the children we support ensuring good quality of care.

If interested, you should:
• Be flexible and committed to cover different shift patterns in London area that could be days and nights - starting from a minimum of 6 hours per shift or up to 12 hours per shift
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Be punctual and reliable
• Have a strong understanding of the meaning of lone working
• Confident to accompany our clients on days out if/where necessary
• Previous experience of working with children with the following clinical requirements: Seizure Management, PEG Feeding, Tracheostomy, Ventilation.

You will receive 24/7 support from Clinical Nurse Managers and our professional Compliance and Rota Team. Competencies are assessed by Clinical Educators on a child by child basis and you will receive ongoing clinical and mandatory training and we are committed to your ongoing professional development.

The role requires:
• A minimum of 6 months experience working with children & young adults with complex healthcare needs and behavioural difficulties
• Ability to work shifts including nights and weekends
• Able to work under pressure and in stressful and challenging situations
• The ability to demonstrate good listening, communication and interpersonal skills
• Have an understanding of the needs of children and young people with complex health needs and learning difficulties
• Undertake ongoing mandatory and clinical training
