Branch Trainer – Eastleigh - £25,000 per annum

Voyage Care are currently looking for an experienced, talented Branch Trainer to join our team here in Eastleigh. As a Branch Trainer you will be responsible for delivering high quality training to a team of individuals delivering great care in both community and residential settings. You will be based out of our regional office in Eastleigh but will be required to travel around Voyage Care’s Southern region delivering training, this will occasionally involve overnight stays as well.

 

As a Branch Trainer you will be responsible for ensuring all of our employees are trained in line with legislation, contractual agreements, policy and procedure and individual needs.

As a Branch Trainer you will:

  • Have thorough knowledge and understanding of the Care Act as well as other legislation applicable to the delivery of care.
  • Support the Branch Manager in developing and fulfilling training strategies.
  • Provide advice, support and guidance to the Branch Manager on all relevant training matters
  • Take the lead role in planning, implementing, delivering and assessing all relevant training
  • Ensure all training methods are utilised including E-Learning, face to face, practical training and coaching etc.
  • Plan, coordinate, deliver, monitor and record all new staff ‘inductions’ within their probationary period.
  • Monitor training compliance across our staff teams and prompt the refreshing of all mandatory subjects.
  • Mentor all ‘New to Care’ staff through the Care Certificate during their induction period.
  • Support care staff to apply for relevant HSC Diplomas and support their progress in partnership with our L&D Department.
  • Liaise with the National Learning and Development Department to ensure training programmes are in place, available locally and reviewed in line with current practice.

 

Experience:

  • Prior experience in the Health and Social Care Sector
  • A thorough understanding of the Care Act, Safeguarding, DoLS and Mental Capacity Act
  • An understanding of Autism and Learning Disabilities would be advantageous but we can provide training on this.
