Voyage Care is seeking exceptional Bank Support Workers to provide support to individuals at our Outreach and Supported Living Services in Poole, Wareham, Sturminster Marshall and Blandford Forum.

Voyage Care provides support adults with; Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities and Enduring Mental Health Issues.

Bank Support Workers will assist the People we Support in all aspects of their life that they need support. Support may include (but not be limited to):

  • Undertaking hobbies and other interests
  • Community access and social events
  • Assistance with daily household tasks and shopping
  • Listening and providing emotional support
  • Medication Administration
  • Personal Care
  • Financial Assistance

Previous experience in a health or social care setting working with individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities is desirable. Voyage Care provide full (paid) training to all Bank Support Workers.

Due to the location of our services Bank Support Workers need to hold a full driving licence and have access to transport.

Bank Support Workers will be offered a mixture of early, late and long day shifts, including weekend work, shifts on public holidays and some sleep and waking night in shifts.

  • Are compassionate and understanding
  • Are reliable and conscientious
  • Have a good understanding of written and spoken English and basic Mathematics
  • Are flexible in the shifts they can work
  • Currently hold or are prepared to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
