We operate over 400 care homes and 20 rehabilitation centres across the country and we provide specialist care and support to people at home and in the wider community…and we’re growing every day!

37.5 hrs a week at £8.84per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am till 4.30pm

To plan and develop ‘Creative Art’ sessions that deliver structured, meaningful and stimulating content for people we support of all abilities and all age’s. To provide fun and enjoyable sessions through forms of Art therapy and Creative play within our day service in Hindhead, Surrey.

Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate and provide meaningful, stimulating activities for the people we support and to deliver sessions with energy and enthusiasm.
  • To be responsible for planning, developing, delivering, monitoring and reporting on the activities that are coordinated.
  • Have a good knowledge enabling you to write yearly and sometimes six monthly reviews for the people we support.
  • Deliver reviews on time and provide them in a legible, informative and positive style.
  • To work as part of a friendly, dynamic and proactive team and to promote a positive,can-do attitude within the centre.
  • To communicate effectively with the people we support, their support staff and the staff team at The Grove.
  • Supervise support staff at the centre during sessions.
  • To be empathic and sensitive towards the needs of the people we support.
  • Participate in the education and development of all the people we support.
  • To attend all mandatory training courses and to complete the company’s e-learning.
  • Support the manager in maintaining and improving on the standards of the service already being achieved and highlight areas for development.
  • Work in conjunction with the manager to ensure good systems of communication are adopted and maintained at all times.
  • Looking after and maintaining equipment used at the day centre and reporting when its condition needs attention.
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably requested and expected.

Requirements:

  • The ability to think on your feet and make sure that each session is tailored to meet the needs of each individual that attends.
  • The confidence to lead the session and guide both staff and people we support to participate in a range of art sessions organised and run by you.
  • The ability to organise sessions within a range of art mediums.
  • To be able to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help people.
