Pay Rate (£): 20,000 plus car allowance

We are looking for a talented Area Recruiter and Trainer to join our team and participate in the recruitment process from beginning to end, including the delivery of the company’s induction training. 

You will be responsible for attracting candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, managing documents and ensuring all community employees are trained in line with legislation, contractual agreements, Policy and Procedure and individual need,

As an area recruiter you should have a thorough knowledge of resourcing, strong communication skills and the confidence to meet and greet people.  We like working with people who ‘think outside the box’.

As a trainer you should have a thorough knowledge of the Care Act and other legislation applicable to delivering community care.  You will work in partnership with the Learning and Development department, Branch Manager and Clinical Operations Director.  You should be able to work within a team and on your own initiative delivering training and developing bespoke training packages in line with the needs of the People we Support

Ultimately you should be able to work with the support of the regional teams to manage the full recruitment cycle and meet our staff requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities - Recruitment

  • Co-ordinating and actively participating in recruitment meetings alongside the coordinators and management team to establish exact recruitment requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Recruitment Manager to attend events and Job fairs
  • Ensuring current advertising reflects the business recruitment needs.
  • Resource for CV’s from Job boards and contacting candidates.
  • Shortlisting applications and arranging interviews for suitable candidates.
  • Interviewing potential candidates alongside any relevant member of the team.
  • Ensuring the recruitment and pre-employment screening process is as smooth and rapid as possible by working alongside the regional recruitment team.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system with accurate data to ensure correct status is reflected.
  • Providing a comprehensive, high quality general administrative facility for the business including, letter writing, minutes taking, ordering of stationary etc.
  • Set up and maintain employee personnel and training files and employee system records and production of certification during probation period.

 

Key Responsibilities - Training

 

  • To work as a member of the team in developing and fulfilling induction training strategies for the VSH Hub Offices, this in turn will support the business objectives.
  • To take the lead role and actively participate in the planning, implementation, delivery and associated support / assessment of all relevant induction training. Ensure all training methods are utilised including E learning, face to face, practical training and coaching, to meet the company objectives
  • To actively participate in the delivery of training ensuring development opportunities for staff within the VSH Hub, ensuring the most effective use of resources and appropriateness of delivery
  • Plan, coordinate, deliver, monitor and record all new staff ‘inductions’ within their probationary period. Liaising direct with their Field Care Supervisor and Care coordinator to ensure probation meetings and supervision meetings are planned, occur and are recorded
  • To provide advice, support and guidance to the Branch Manager on all relevant matters and to assist with the development of new staff throughout the DCA Office team
  • To contribute to all aspects of training, assessment and competency throughout the VSH Hub areas to ensure a fully qualified workforce, compliant with National Minimum Standards, regulatory requirements and Policy and Procedure
  • To identify any classroom based training required and book places for the relevant staff on available dates, in conjunction with the Care Co-ordination Team
  • To work with the Field Support Supervisors and mentor all “New to Care” staff through the Care Certificate during their induction period, ensuring observations and assessments are completed and recorded to evidence competence
  • To support care staff to apply for relevant HSC Diplomas and to support their progress in partnership with the Learning and Development Department.
  • To develop innovative, flexible and appropriate initiatives to meet the VSH’s Induction training needs
  • To liaise with the National Learning and Development Department ensuring training programmes are in place, available locally to meet individual and service need requirements; and are reviewed in line with current practice and trend
