Job Title: Team Leader - Full Time - 37.5 hours per week 

Location: Burntwood, Staffordshire

Pay Rate: £9.54 per hour

The successful candidate will be required to;

  • Work the following shifts: Flexible to work between Monday - Sunday; 7.30am-3:00pm; 2.30pm-10:00pm and there may be a need to pick up wake night shifts, but this is usually in an emergency, or picking up extra in an emergency. 
  • Be part of an on-call system (able to pick up shifts last minute if unable to get covered in an emergency) approx. 1 week in every 4. 
  • Cover: 4 shifts on the floor (supporting service users) and 1 non support day (admin/office etc). 

Candidates also need to have experience as a Senior or above position and it would be advantageous to have a Full UK (Manual) Driving Licence. 

At Rugeley Road we support adults with learning disabilities, associated complex needs. The home has been designed to provide an environment that is fully accessible for people who use wheelchairs or have mobility/physical difficulties, whilst maximising each person’s individuality, dignity and privacy.

Role Overview:

Our Team Leaders closely support our Service Manager, are responsible for promoting, managing and coordinating care plans. You’ll also play a central role in team leadership, from allocating shifts and training days to overseeing recruitment and induction. You will be central to our service delivery and take a hands-on approach to care management too.

  • Proven experience of the assessment, planning and implementation of service delivery within a learning disabilities and challenging behaviour  environment.
  • Excellent communication and decision making skills with an outstanding ability to contribute to working with service users (or prospective service users), families, advocates and other professional colleagues.
  • Experience of all elements of the day to day supervision, training and management of staff.
