We are Voyage Care and we are a sector leading provider, with over 30 years’ experience of specialist care and support. We are looking for a real life superhero “Support Worker” to join our team of outstanding employees who share our values and our passion to provide the highest quality support.

Voyage Care lives its values by promising to EMPOWER each other, work TOGETHER, promote HONESTY, be a leader in OUTSTANDING quality and to always be SUPPORTIVE in everything we do…. Could this be you?

About the Role:

Park View Road is a residential service located in Heaton and here we support 10 adults with a wide range of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder’s, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge.

As a superhero “Support Worker” you will deliver intense support with all aspects of everyday living to encourage their independence and support them to lead the most fulfilling life possible, incorporating both therapy and social based activities. You must be resilient, flexible and composed in your approach as this will be a challenging environment to work in, although equally rewarding. You will understand the importance of reflective practice and be involved in debriefs and incident analysis to ensure the best possible outcomes for the individual.

Whilst no two days are the same typically, you’ll help the people we support with everyday challenges such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments, maintaining relationships and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningful to the people we support.

We have 2 male only positions available for 30 hours per week which are predominantly day shifts with occasional nights.

We are currently seeking candidates with previous care or related experience and a full UK driving license is preferable. Candidates must be active, enthusiastic and happy to take part in social activities with the people we support.

If you share these values and really want to make a difference, click apply or call our friendly recruitment team on 01543 484696 to find out more about Voyage and our broad range of Benefits.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS/PVG check and Regulated Activity which will include a check against the Barred adult list.
