About the Role:

Ross Dene is a residential service located in Outwood and here we support adults with a wide range of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder’s, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge.

As a senior support worker you will lead a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care by modelling good and reflective practice. You will promote resilience and enthusiasm throughout the staff team to ensure everyone works effectively and cohesively in the best interests of the people we support. You will be involved in the day to day maintenance of support plans, reviews, medication, finances and supervisions in addition to other responsibilities and duties.

Whilst no two days are the same typically, you will have a hands on approach to lead the team to support the individuals with everyday challenges such as encouraging and prompting personal cares, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningful to the people we support.

This is a 37.5hr contract for the senior support worker role. You will work on a rota basis including a mix of early, late and night shifts.

Experience with learning disabilities and/or autism is required for the position. Previous leadership experience is preferred however, we are also happy to consider individuals seeking an opportunity to progress their career.
