About the Role:

Our service in Central Ashton will be supporting one individual, who has autism, mental health needs and complex behaviours that may challenge.

As a senior support worker you will lead a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care by modelling good and reflective practice. You will promote resilience and enthusiasm throughout the staff team to ensure everyone works effectively and cohesively in the best interests of the people we support. You will be involved in the day to day maintenance of support plans, reviews, medication, finances and supervisions in addition to other responsibilities and duties.

Whilst no two days are the same typically, you will have a hands on approach to lead the team to support the individuals with everyday challenges such as encouraging and prompting personal cares, menu planning and meal preparation, housekeeping, managing finances, medication, attending health appointments and taking part in hobbies & activities. This will also include supporting the individual with overnight activities including concerts and tournaments. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningful to the person we support.

Our Senior Support Workers will also cover on call for the service on a rota basis.

This is a 37.5hr contract for the senior support worker role. You will work on a rota basis including a mix of early, late and night shifts, if required to cover.

Experience with autism and challenging behaviour is essential for the position. Previous leadership experience is preferred however, we are also happy to consider individuals seeking an opportunity to progress their career.
